2. What MyMedStock Is (and Is Not)
MyMedStock is a personal medication inventory management app. It helps you track your medication stock levels and estimate how long your supply will last.
MyMedStock is not:
- a medical app,
- a health records system,
- a prescription management system,
- a clinical decision support tool.
All medical decisions remain solely with you and your healthcare provider.
3. Who Can Use MyMedStock
MyMedStock is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
4. What Data We Collect
4.1 Account Data
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (stored in encrypted form — we never see your actual password)
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from Google.
4.2 Medication Data
Data you enter manually:
- Medication names
- Medication forms (tablet, capsule, gel, etc.)
- Dosage information
- Stock quantities
- Expiry dates
This data is stored in your personal account and is not shared with anyone.
4.3 Technical Data
We may collect basic technical information to ensure the app works correctly:
- App version
- Device operating system version
- Error logs (in case of app crashes)
We do not collect: location data, device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID), or usage analytics beyond what is necessary for app functionality.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively to:
- provide the core functionality of the app (medication tracking, stock calculations),
- send you push notifications you have configured (weekly summaries, low stock alerts),
- maintain and improve the app.
We do not: sell your data to third parties, use your data for advertising, share your data with pharmaceutical companies or healthcare providers, or use your medication data for any purpose other than displaying it to you.
6. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase (Supabase Inc.), located in the European Union (Ireland — AWS eu-west-1 region).
Supabase acts as our data processor. Their privacy policy is available at: supabase.com/privacy
Data storage within the EU means your data is protected under GDPR.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
If you delete your account: all your personal data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
You can delete your account at any time from: Settings → Delete account and data.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
As a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data directly in the app.
- Right to erasure — delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to the processing of your data.
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time, where applicable.

9. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we will send you:
- Weekly medication stock summaries (on a day and time you choose in Settings),
- Critical low stock alerts (when a medication falls below your configured threshold).
You can disable notifications at any time in App Settings → Notifications, or your device's system notification settings.
10. Third-Party Services
MyMedStock uses the following third-party services:

11. Security
We take the security of your data seriously: all data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), passwords are never stored in plain text, and access to the database is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own data.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app.
The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
